Raced a Gator completly stock, beat the shit out of him, and raced a taurus sho. Raped. just got mbc upped the boost to about 8.5 ish. I love this car.

Nice kills. Watch out for those SHO's though. Stock they are pretty mean (mine did high-14's in the 1/4, stock). With a little bit of nitrous, some cams and bolt-on stuff, they can be vicious. Many are also running around with S/C's and a few are turbocharged (putting down close to 500whp). Just too bad that their Mazda designed and built gearboxes are crap, and Ford no longer manufactures parts for them. Well, maybe that's good, because if I didn't blow my 3rd gearbox (weak synchros and blocking rings, along with a crappy open diff) and could get parts, I wouldn't have my Supra.
i know the older SHO was a turbo V6, don't know who made it though, but think it was a ford motor, and the newer one is like a 3.4L V8, think its made by Yamaha...but wouldn't swear to it as i have only seen under the hood of one of the newer ones, but did a couple engine swaps in the older style
thats what i thought. they are nice cars, wouldnt mind having one for a daily driver or possible AutoX/Solo2 car.ma70t said:

the v6 one pulls harder than the v8 cause yamaha made better engine yamaha also help toyota make the 3sgte head desing and thats the motor that came in celica gt4 and the mr2 first gen gt4 made like 190 hp on a 2 liter not bad compare to our 3.0 making only 230 hp or 232 give or take
yea, and the third gen (like 93 and up) 3sgte makes about 260 hp from a 2.0 liter, not sure how much torque tho. only thing is is that its only a 2 liter, horsepwer is limited to about 500 if your lucky and have deep pockets, a 7mgte you can get to 700 with out much effort.
3sgte can make alot of power the top secret supra made over 800hp on the 3sgte yeah i know 3sgte in a mkiv supra very nice tho yeah people were looking for a 2jz in that supra but it turn out to be a 3sgte hahah and on stock bottom end the 3sgte can make 500hp

^Actually. The 4ag WAS the spec engine in the Formula Atlantic Series until this season. All the engines in the Formula Atlantic Series are now Cosworth engines. But yes, the 4age is a remarkable engine. Many Toyota engines are remarkable engines.
We actually share alot in terms of engine troubles with the SHO (v6's), they are plagued by BHG and rod knocks! They also run into alot of tranny problems though...
