targa seals leaking :(

k, so my roof leaked... alot

and i bought some new seals from Elmhurst, got them all in, and my right front corner still leaks

admittedly it is not my original roof as mine went flying off a bridge somewhere lol

but any clues?

Did you replace all of the seals or just some? Did you condition the rubber after install? I have found that a slight bit of lithium grease really helps with the sealing charecteristics of the targa. HTH.

i replaced all of them, and the stock rubbers come with slippery stuff all over em so i guessed it was enough

did you replace and re-seal the side pieces on the roof panel? This could be your problem.

Has your car ever been wrecked? Has the car the current targa was on ever been wrecked? Either one of those could've caused a slight warping of the frame /targa

Yep just found out mine's leaking at the right corner of my targa, but I need new seals anyways.

well it's not my original roof as my targa flew off when it was being towed lol

i don't think it's been wrecked, the car it came off
maybe i need to loosen all the bolts on the targa and rebolt it?

did you remove and clean, in and under, the channels that the seals seat in?

Mine leaked in the exact same spot, but its wierd.
If you leave the windows up while it's dry, then it rains, no leaks.
But if it's raining and you roll the passenger window down, then back up, it leaks a drop every 15 seconds.
I was gonna try new targa seals, but I have bigger problems to worry about right now.
