I can literally watch the window sway with the targa off on my 88.

Im still set on making a moon roof out of my spare, but if I come across another targa Ill give T-Tops a shot. Ill use a keyed locking latch to help with that break in problem if I do.

^^ I think he was just planning on using at a drop in replacement for his targa top. And using either one or the other depending on conditions. Kinda like a brace.

i was under the impression that the wings were damn near impossible to get.

Yeah, I was kinda just making a joke.

I hear Redbull gives you wings. Try that first, it's like $2 or something.

And what, pour it on my car?:icon_razz

And yes, i'll see what I can do with the targa and then see how much would a brace thingy cost. Good thing with the targa is it has already rear bolts and front holes in it and it is measured right...:icon_bigg

this is what we have inside, the middle is plain flat, and very thin... the only things that seem hold are the edges round it...(the red area is not a hole, it just seems so :))

So all the talk about the factory x-bracing is false!? A full-size tinted moonroof would be so sweet!! I seriously want one. Maybe with a pull-blind canvas for privacy too :) How would one go about making a piece of lexan or glass that has the curve of the factory roof?

How much do you figure the sheetmetal contributes to the rigidity of the targa? Would the remaining box frame flex?

I live in vancouver.. paint is orig, no rust, solid platform and no shaking - yet because my targa is sealed up I cannot take it off yet (not driven yet in one with the roof off) No salt here - no snow (rare) we have the most expensive used cars here in North America. A 15 year old Miata goes for 9g and it has over 200000km on it.. but it will look like it came from the showroom..

This car would be amazing with a glass roof..
