Strange problem, mine never does that at all. The previous owner never took it out so perhaps unworn bolts and seals are the answer. I do use a corldess ratchet so it's a bit tighter than a hand tool would be.

I'm just gonna sell the car to justin for 8 dollars....

j/k.

I ordered new targa seals today, and I'm checking into getting new bolts and the springs that go on them.

solution! if your only using an alan key thingie then its prolly not getting tight enough. use the tool that comes with the car to get it nice and tight. or put a pipe on the end of the alan key. ive used the alan before and couldnt get it tight enough....

locktite makes a kind that isnt permanent... its meant to be easy to break the bond, but will hold the screw still. i didnt mean to rub it in his face, but i mean.. you have a targa you gotta leav with the problems. everybody should know that before they buy a targa. Since if you think youll never have a problem you are sorely mistaken.

My targa tool:

P.S. Targas, like turbos and hot women, are more trouble but WAY worth it.

I was never comfortable with using an allen head on my targa, I'm paranoid about stripping those things out. That electric ratchet is a life saver I bet, I need one of those.
