Tapping noise seemingly from top end....VID

Lol, I had the same sound in one of my 7Ms and people told me it was a stuck valve. So I drove this thing for 300+ miles a bunch of times...

Credibility? Nope, I can't find it either. :nono:

As a matter of fact, I got a vid of my car with this knock. Alil over a year and a half with this knocking. Redlining, burnouts, smoke shows, drifting, what ever I could throw at it...

You realize this is the equivalent of posting child porn on a child advocacy forum, right?

The right way to solve this, is to do as Adjuster has said. You need to go and get yourself a mechanic's stethoscope.

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY can diagnose the car from listening to it via the internet, people!

GrimJack's hit the nail as well - too many things in a car can make a 'knocking' sound. Welcome to the world of troubleshooting Remove the A/C and Altenator belts - still knocking? Then you can knock a couple things off GrimJack's list

Well obviously you can't diagnose the problem over the internet. What I'm saying is, if you rather not look for the problem or don't have time, just think of it as something else. Like I did, drove that sucker for a 1yr and a half untill it finally got to the point where its incredibly unreliable. Right now, I'm gonna rip out my last 7M-GTE I installed in my Cressida because it has yet again the same knocking noise and I shall diagnose to see if its truely rodknock. At the same time, im doing another 7M-GTE swap in my other Cressida. Gotta love the 7M's

are you sur e its' not an exhaust leak as i said before i saw black soot from of near e.g.r. valve exhaust leak and rod knocks can soun the same if you already pulled plugs and if there's no change then I'd look some where else especially on a fresh rebuild

LOL I got a huge exhaust leak from my manifold on my turbo Cress. Some of the studs are missing, so I'm hoping probably my knocking noise is from there.
