is not that hard really teh 7ms belts are very comon wiht otehr cars so gettign diffetn sizes is easy as cake

Yes Ive wanted them for a VERY long time. But they are VERY rare and when they do pop up, they are VERY expensive! Last set I saw pop up on rinkya.com was $230! :aigo:

$230.............. then add the rinkya fees, say another $200 then add shipping, probably $100............ it adds up to being unrealistic

I wouldn't be using the 7M pistons, as that would make no sense

I will be using the 5Ms domed pistons, effectively making a 9.8:1 compression ratio (piston pins are the same as 7Ms, will fit on the 7M rods fine, 5Ms and 7Ms have the same bore)

you say you dont want to use the 7m pistons, make sense for your route, but i have a question,

my friend and i are adding a ct26 to his set up, and he was going to rebuild the motor over summer, i told him he should be able to upgrade to the 7m rod's and pistons, and also use the 7m head on his motor, and effectly run a 2.8L 24v turbo engine. he really like's the idea' and i just want to make sure i gave him accuret info, he'll also be using 440 injectors and a mhg (go me i turn people into supra enthusest' all the time :biglaugh: ) mind you this will be in a 82 mkii, i will also be doing a similar build. :evil2: :evil2: with his car twin sister :love:

Using the 7M pistons and head would work, but I don't believe you can use the 7M con rods with the 5M crankshaft without doing some damage, some machining is required to make that work... I don't have much knowledge in that area. To be honest, I don't think that type of build is worth the headache, but then again, people tell me that staying NA isn't worth it either
