do you have to alreayd have the tanabe? i was planning n going with the tanabe touring soon but if it really isnt 3 In around i would be in on on the group buy to have tanabe remake the SHM!
I'm still waiting for someone to actually cut open the muffler and resenator of the Tanabe exhaust and give us a true measurement of the inner diameter of the piping. Their is a slight narrowing, but to me, it did not look like it was 2.65". The exhaust is already 3.15 inches(80mm) and I would guess that it might narrow down to maybe 2.95 inches at the most. Either way, you can't accuratly measure it without cutting the muffler in half.
BTW, I put down 495rwhp at 17psi, so it seems to flow well.

Or use a cylinder bore gauge to measure the bore of the passage through the muffler, that's a more viable option than for someone to hack up their exhaust just to find out how big the piping is...

I Have The Tanabe Super Hyper Medallion On My Car Right Now. I Plan On Buying Some Flanges And Making A Straight Pipe To Replace My Muffler Just For Fun Since We Know The Cops Around Here.

why start a new thread when this thread has most of the info? what needs to happen is 20+ people to start a group buy. not o i got 2 friends and me x5 people doing the same and then when someone starts the group buy only 3 people post up. what needs to happen is 20+ people with money in hand in savings accounts ready for when the company will see that there is enough interest and has enough people with money in hand to pay at that time for an updated discontinued exhaust system.
