taking out the engine without a motor crane? possible? how to?

You should be able to find a good used one in the 50-100 range, if not a new one. It will pay for it self the first time you use it. If anything think of it part of the cost of install a MHG. Plus a hoist is cheaper then most MHG's out there.

Just think about the $600 dollar labor charge at a shop to remove/install the engine. Just go buy/rent one, the experience from doing the work yourself is PRICELESS. You will learn alot about the car, good luck and let us know what route you talkng :beer:

A load leveler is something you might think about getting with your hoist... Wish I had one when I just took my motor out and put it back in...Huge PITA without one.

im junking a car and i dropped the subframe because i cut the lower rad support. wouldnt recommened this method if you are keeping the car lol
