taking off parts,, need some help!!

ok, anybody know how to take the stock steering wheel off? or do any parts of it come off.. i have a 87 btw... also what about the E-brake handle? does it come off, if so how? i tried unscrewing it and no luck..

For steering wheel take out the horn cover. and there should be a 19mm nut behind it. I think the cover was just clipped in or maybe it is screwed. It is easy to do though.

i was trying to find a break down of the parking brake...but all i saw was the diagram for the brake itself.

pre 89 steering wheels have 2 or 3 screws behind it to take the cover off to access the 19mm nut.

do you mean just the lever? or the lines aswell? -- ebrake

it's not removable, though you can get covers that go over it... (or buy a brand new assembly from the dealer like I did)

there is one large bolt and one large nut that hold it to the tranny tunnel, and a number of other things needed to remove it. Pull the boot off and you can see.

You MIGHT be able to have it recovered, but it wasn't that expensive for the assembly...
