yeah like I said, it looks pristine, hell the rod does too, where the bearing should be and the rod itself. The crank KIT? is that the crankshaft itself or what?

It's be the crank and the bearings needed for it to fit stock rods. I find it hard to believe that a crank would be good after having RK... What is the history on the engine?

put in with 40k on it, never had any issues (was told) now its about 70k miles.

When I got the car, 2 months later I had what I thought was a going injector, felt like misfire constantly. Went on and off, mostly on, but sometimes it was only after driving for long periods of time. Like one of my cylinders was going out somewhere... I put in premium 3 months later and it started to stop, then came back a week later. a month and a half later I got an overheated problem, my lower coolant hose blew off, it wasnt tightened on. Fixed that it the knock stopped! for 3 days straight! no idea how, but then a week later. I heard tick tick tick and I was starting to say what the fu....BOOM knock knock knock. I pulled over, and had to go home, so I went home with it, 2 miles or less. parked it, havent run it since.

I know I was an idiot for neglecting the knock I thought it was a bad injector or spark plug or SOMETHING, but that wasnt my guess. There is no visible damage to my crank, or the rod, just the fact that there is NO SIGN of a bearing ever existing.

Well, a crank can be re-used after it has experienced RK, but only if it was caught early enough, before any real damage is done. In your case, I don't think it is fine, especially if you say there is NO bearing at all anymore.

There was a bearing there, they don't just disappear. I would be willing to bet that the shavings got sucked into the pickup, and all collected in the filter, and whatever didn't is probably hanging out in the oil passages and head :(. I would get a new motor...it's not worth fixing the crank on this one, because, with shavings in the engine, it's only a matter of time before you have RK again!

Oh, and post some pics of the carnage...does the RK journal look like the other journal that were non-RK?

Whats the journal?

LOL, Im tellnig you it all looks alright, Im replacing the pump, is it possible to flsuh the shavings out of the engine block? I cant afford another engine this far into all this shit. Really, I dont trust that any more than this.

I found very small, and very few shavings like, 4 or 5 of em, thats all. Hell even my cylinder wall is perfect, not a nitch, scratch or anything. Theres no visible damage anywhere, Ive looked, for over an hr, I dont see shavings or damage. Ill replace the crank, but not the motor, if I can flush it.

I think you're not telling us something so we'll tell you what you want to hear. Thate ngine didn't turn over 10,000+ times and let the crank come out unscathed...

None of this?

alright, I found the shavings, in my oil pan. Most of its all there, I looked all over the internals, no shavings, havent taken off the filter yet. I think over the 3 oil changes I had before flushed most of it out.

There is NO damage to the crank, I inspected it thick and through and had a friend do the same. I have a back up just in case anyways.

Quick question though, is there anywhere I can get a bolt set for our car? Like ALL new bolts? Im not 100% sure I remember where everything is HAHA, just wondering if theres a bolt and nut kit.

Also, how do I go about flushing the engine a few times while its OUT? I know I can just run a pressure wash through it, just wondering what I can do.

Like ARP bolts? HPFreaks?

As for cleaning it out... pull it all apart and get it hot tanked. :icon_bigg You're already down THAT far, why not just rebuild it for another $200-500 and be done w/ it for a few years? Thats just me though, I like to go a bit overkill on things like that.
