Ive tried it like that, and had no success. But maybe it was just they type of resin I was using and the way I applied it. I've always wanted to go back and give it another try

I ran a sample on Carbon Fiber with a new resin and it looks good. The Cf weave is alittle distored in one area as you can see but it was due to my handling...This can be easily prevented by being more careful when I handle the fabric.

I will have clear urethane coating sprayed on it and it will look so much better. I will take another pic when Its clear coated but I dont know because I have a cheap digital camera.

Not bad for my first try with my new resin.
I am quite happy with the results and it looks very tempting to make a all carbon fiber body for my car.

I am interested in a console with 60mm guages and a turbo timer below the radio. Can you do it in a black that matches the original black? I don't want a color mismatch if at all possible.
