Tails Finally Done

Got these from a group buy about a year ago from here or maybe SF (I really dont remember) It is a film tint from Spal-Shield from West Coast. I think I like it.

It rained this morning, as you can see. I may have picked the wrong night to do this install. Hopefully it will cure up today but it all looked fine this morning.

you did a good job. how much was the brightness effected?

The tint film was about 4X thicker than Llumar Window tint, it took a lot of heat gun, squeegie, pulling and pushing to get it all as straight as possible. The product is quality and the adhesion was good.

As for the brightness, it's about a 30% to 40% darker. At night with the lights on, it looks kick-ass in my opinion. During the day, I have the 3rd brake LED and it is bright as heck.

It's is the lightest tint Spal Shield had. There is no specific law in my home state the addressed tail light tint but I am sure some cop out there will have something to say about it sooner or later. Like I said above, at night they are plenty, plentry bright. During the day, they are very visible plus I have the third center LED light.

I am going for the red on dark theme, but that is obvious I guess. To each his own, when I get tired of it, I can always change it up a bit.

Looks nice and stealth
DOT wants you to be able to see your tais from 500 feet. Atleast your third eye is still red and bright, will slighty help prevent others from getting up close and personal with your bumber

Yeah I think it contrasts to much on the bright red. Its that color that makes it look darker than what it is. Atleast its all one shade, which is more than most can say for those tail lights. good job

Yes - Those are 03 Mustang bullets. I am going to the dark side one part at a time. They are on loan from 03bamaGT. I hit a pot hole and toasted my 5Zigens last month and my new rollers won't be in until June. I talked to BorHor and they quit making Work Equips in 18's so I'm just going to get 2 new Zigens and call it a day.
