I just noticed my tailights arent working. The brake light, turn signals, and reverse all work, just not the tails that come on with the headlights. I cant find any bad fuses, but the box for the tailights that says "failure lamp" has one black area that looks burnt. Could that be the cause?

Depending on how bad it is you may be able to patch it. Personally, I'd probably just replace it and beef up the replacement so it won't happen again.
There should be a part # on the box. I've seen some dealerships carry the ones for our cars (and most 80's Toyotas) in stock because they're starting to go out more frequently.
Wat year is your car? That box is about $130 ish from toyota for a pre89. If it is a pre89, it should be yellow then i have one here i can let it go for cheap it u need.
