I can't make it- Party tonight. Schedule another one in a few weeks though!

Why don't you tell UpgradedSupra, he drove down for nothing!? Kinda rude, don't ya think!?
Oh well, I guess my expectations were just too high!:aigo:

Not just pickin' on you Speed. Just a little jaded about the apparent lack of cohesion amongst the local peeps.

Ya' gotta' think that maybe the big guys, will eventually start thinkin' nobody wants to see their rides anymore.:icon_surp

It was pretty cool for the few people that showed up, had fun. I was hoping that more poeple would of been there but kinda expected that, and i even took a beak from my 2j swap to go chill with the community.

Turnout sucked, but I had a good time. Best part was smoking Duane on the way home :sarcasm: My head was aching but it was good to meet Jorgan and to see Moe again. There was no 7m love last night, just 3 1jz's and a 6m mk2.

I had a great time hanging out with the bunch that showed. We need to do this more often. :)

Nate: You did take me out but wasn't as bad as I thought. I told Darrell and he was like, man I need to do something about that. He thought that 7MPH in the 1/4 wasn't much but when you take that to the street means allot.

On the way home it felt funny then I got gas after I took off ahead of you...and guess what?!!! the freaking clutch went to the floor :aigo: I had to power shift it home and today I put a new master in it and did a few little things. Just got in from the garage now.

No smart ass, I drove down for the meet to meet everyone. My thoughts are when you say you're going to do something, you generally follow through with it.

My round trip was a total of 7.5hours.

I mean no disrespect... but the whole time I said "maybe maybe maybe". And frankly, hanging out with my long time friends and having a good time has priority over a car meet. I'm super stoked for the next one, but theres no need to take it so harshly when people can't show up.

And since people are continually confused by my comments, i've changed my user title so its perfectly clear.

I'm glad that a few showed up! I had fun, and the Pizza was pretty good too. I won't come to another one w/o my Supra though! We're not that far from being done, just have to have the final big push for about 4 or 5 weekends in a row! No surprise to me that so many people are changing their minds about the motor of choice for the MkIII!:icon_razz As soon as I drove Nate's 1J car last summer, I knew my 7M days were over!:biglaugh:

Jorgen: Don't say I didn't warn you!:biglaugh:

hey tom did you talk to gilberjj, i think he wants a 1j or a 2j now lol. The thing is if Duane drove 7.5hrs just for the meet,(other than the 7 peeps that showed) i think more people that live closer than that should of came especially the ones that said they would maybe not everyone but some more people. Everyone wants more meets locally for supras but when someone organizes one alot of people bail, I for one like to hang out alot especially with the local supra folks. but hopefully after i get back in 15 months i will be back hanging out with the supra community more, and hopefully there are more meets like this(doesn't have to be a national thing just regular joe's hanging out)!!!!

edit...and sorry about taking so long tom, after we got back from the testdrive you were gone so gilberjj came over and checked out the 2j he can vouch for it..

Ya, i called to apologize for taking so long on our little test drive. we ended up talking a long time, so i told him all about my thoughts of the jz series.

I had a great time and I think we should all get together often just for the heck of it too. maybe next time we can do it farther north though eh! that way its a little more fair for our mounty friend!

I told you ;) let me know how much you want for the turbo, I'll consider it.

It would be nice to do it a little further north next time just not any further south.

lol i don't think i can ever own a 7m anymore, way more maintenance than the jz series motors. They are good motors, but the jz motors are just evolution kicked up a notch

Mechanical evolution clearly defined!:boink: The linear powerband of the JZ series, especially the 1J, (w/it's Yamaha built cyl head) is by far superior, to the peaky power of the 7M. Smooth as the finest Bourbon whiskey!:biglaugh:

even though my car is much faster than the 1j i drove, i still loved the progressive pull, and the never ending power. btw, nate your car sounded awesome when you took off!

Yeah yeah, now that you have gone 1gay, you are now all about that? That's messed up. When you had a 7M, it was nothing better :3d_frown: but I still like you :biglaugh:

Get that thing done so I can get Darrell to kick your ass in his Yamaha :icon_razz Motivation enough for ya? :biglaugh:
