I'm not a fan of my burgundy interior on my 1989 Mark III... so I bought some decent-ish seat covers and installed them, but I'm not sure if it matches quite right or looks good.

I like them... but what are your opinions?

Here's what the original seat looked like:

Saving the looks of the seats is like saving the synchros in a manual, what's the point? I'd rather enjoy them then save it for the next owner.

Maybe I wouldn't have a problem with your seat covers if they were all black lol.

There is an mk3 on ebay for sale (beater) for a 100bux. Buy that, and swap the gray interior...then sell the shell again IMO. Goodluck either way. OH...I hate seat covers...but do whatcha gotta do to make you feel good..

I think leatherseats.com or something like that used to sell really nice seat covers for pretty cheap that looked almost like factory. I lost the link for good covers a while ago.

I used to have a burgundy NA so I feel your pain with the interior color :). I'm not a fan of seat covers, I think they look half baked so to speak. hvyman, I used leatherseats.com to re upholster my blue seats, changing them from cloth to leather (Im not a huge fan of the blue interior either but it's what I had to work with). They came out great. I can't remember how much it cost.

Sorry, my opinion is that i don't like it. As much as i hate the burgundy interior i would not use that seat cover.

I don't like seat covers, my leather seats look almost like they had a close encounter with a lawn mower, but they're still functional and still keep the foam in. :icon_razz

Well fitting seat covers are halfway decent, if they don't fit well, then your ass is just going to slide around when you drive the car hard...

Sheepskin in a black/gray looks nice if you have a dark interior, gimme a second...

See, nice and simple, compliments the interior nicely.

Not a fan of seat covers (the looks or function). They just collect dirt under them and make the seats wear out faster. Cleaning the seats regularly works better to preserve them.
