Tach?

I've read on here that when you go from the ge to the gte you can't use the ge tach, why is that? If all you do is change them out why does the ge one not work?

GTE tach signal is generated from the igniter. The GE is from the coil.

That is correct, you can't use the GE tach on a GTE motor.

So it's just plug and play, no messin with the dash harness?

You can swap the whole cluster or just the tach, but yes, plug n play.
