My 1J powered 87 N/A body is having issues. The tach and fuel gauge both don't work. This is a serious issue when you consider I'm leaving in 2 weeks for a 1200 mile drive home. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.:1zhelp:

tach has to be rewired (well, you have to change out some resisters)

and the fuel gauge could be a number of things. sender, gauge, wiring...

the good news is the low fuel light is a seperate circuit, and comes on when you have about 3 gallons left.

the 1J needs a certain setup for the tach to function properly can't seem to find the info, but try the 1J forums...

the gas gauge on the other hand must be either the sender or the wiring if 3 different clusters aren't working...

it's a nice redundant system... I fucking love toyota sometimes, I've never run out of gas in this thing because of it...
