okay, tried the black wire on the smaller plug, no go.
tried the Black/red wire ofrom the tach lead on the bigger connector, = no go.
tried another black wire on the bigger lead = no go.

So I am stumped. Anyone has an actual Aristo wiring diagram? I am going by the 2JZ o5 MKiV wiring...and I know the colors are different. The pins may be too..l

So , the whatever the ignitor signal is, goes into the ECU @ pin# 16, Red/yellow wire?
The should I tap the wire from PIN # 57 for the rpm signal???
What am I screwing up here???

Hey...I am going to fire up my engine in a week or two!
I have the aristo 2jzgte motor, and I got the signal from ecu plug E10
pin 16 (TACO) Tachometer... I think this is the correct signal,I think so...
I have a jdm supra diagram, but it works ok for a 2jz aristo though!

It's black with red dots on it isn't it? Mine was,

The dots merely indicate the type of insulation used and are not for wire identification. Only the base color and stripe color (if present) are used.

suprastanger507mgte, the Tach output wire is the black wire on the 4-pin igniter plug. This isn't speculation or a guess, that IS the tach output wire, end of discussion. Don't hook it up anywhere else. If your tach isn't working, then there is probably a problem somewhere else.

Do you have a TT tach or an n/a tach?

Doc,
MY wire is coming from that 4 pin plug on the ignitor.
It is the black wire .
I am using the tach from a 1jz which worked fine with my1jz setup.
