Hey guys, the time has come for more power, I have a T70 (61mm comp) but has a T3 open flange, I also have a ebay manifold(company unknown) but I know its a T4 divided flange. My question is has anyone tried this combo before with an adapter/riser with any success or is clearance too tight and will I have to find a T4 exhaust housing??? Thanks guys!

Well if that turbo is the super t 70 on ebay no matter what you do it won't work well because its a Chinbay Turbo. If you are on a budget you could run a masterpower T61 its a T3/T4 that will fit that manifold the turbo normally retails for around 599. Also I think that this question would be better suited in the "Turbochargers" section.

I was saying it wouldn't work well if it was a chinabay turbo not that the combo/idea didn't make sense

Why so defensive Rob?

I was answering the OP's question based on my personal experience with this combination, not your post.

As for "ChinaBay" manifold mine is a SSAC 321 China made header I really don't understand the bashing they're cheap and work fine.

Im sorry bro, I wasn't hatin. And you are right non moving parts like manifolds are great to pick up off ebay I was just warning him that if the turbo is one of those 150-350 dollar turbos that it won't help things. :icon_bigg

I use the SS Autochrome with the Super T70. I bought one of their T4-T3 adapters and them modified it to the way I liked it. It hit the strut tower with just the adapter so I rolled it in a bit. Here was it looks like:

Setup is a bit laggy but what can you say for a $500 setup that can do 550+ no problem!

i loved that turbo in my 2JZ. it boosted very well and felt amazing. i know with the adapter in there it hit the hood, i had to cut away some of the bracing.

if you can find a flange then cut the T4 off the manifold and weld the T3 on instead. an exhaust shop shouldn't cost too much if you do all the prepping yourself.
