T61 Single turbo

Sup guys, so finally I had some time this weekend to start my single turbo conversion. My buddy (OrlRedMKIII) and I went to work on removing the twins. Well, as everyone know it is a PITA. :cry:

So here are some before and after pics.

... there went my shiney turbo pipes.

and 4 hrs later ... WOOT !!! :naughty:

... now time to fit the drewgo manifold and turbo :love:

I still have a lot of things to do but at least the hard part is finally over. I will post updates as I get them done.

That turbo looks awsome! I was going to buy a T-70 but i think the T-61 is more suited to a 1jz. I can't wait to see what this turbo does!

Taking that turbos out was alot of work, I'm in alot of pay. CANT WAIT TO DO IT TO MY SUPRA.

t-60 is a better fit. Much better suited for a 2.5L over the t-61

Yeah I'm hoping this will go smooth as plan. I need to get new exhaust studs. Are the studs from 2j same as 1j?

*** Turbo single project is DONE *** Finally I get to drive my car.

Car runs awesome and I couldn't be more happier as everything went well with nothing major to deal with. Here are some pics.

a short vid... next on the list dropping the 440cc and install safc then off to the dyno for some tuning. Enjoy.
