i want to go with a t4 manifold and they are cheap, but i dont think its going to fit my application...or i'm scared its not going to. its manily the external w/g tube that i'm worried about. most after market manifold has it routed the way that i cant have it. the pickup engine bay is a little skinnier then mkiii or other 1j vehicles. whatever turbo i do decide to get i'll def. look at what doward told me to look at. thanks for all the input.

One day, you will all grow up, right?

Boostage, eh, that was over-the-top man. Toyota1515, I didn't mean it as harshly as it sounded. As the resident turbocharger expert, I can't let false information be given out. That's what I do here - ensure proper turbo-related information!

The original question was this:

was wondering if there's any drastic negative effects of putting a t3 to t4 flange on instead of just cutting the t3 flange and putting a t4 flange on?

The short answer is 'No.' The long answer, Ian happily provided. I simply backed his answer up with more relevant information, while pointing out that the information toyota1515 gave was false.
