T26 Turbo? wtf?

Hey, there's this guy in my town who has an mkIII for sale that he says put down 700hp last year with a "T26 stage 4 turbo". now i dont know if this dude is full of it or not, cuz he has a fucking MASSIVE IC on the car. he had to have a custom bumper made to fit the thing on his car. now here's my question, is there a T26 turbo? I've done lots of research on turbos and i've never heard of it b4. theres no way this guy put down 700hp on a ct upgrade unless he has like a 300 shot on there :icon_roll

Just letting you know that I've never heard of a T26, but the Supra comes STOCK with a CT-26 from the factory. Some people have their CT-26 upgraded to a 60-1 or 62-1 trim, however, these "Stage 4" and Stage 5" CT-26 rebuilds would not flow enough air for 700hp. It would be more like 500-ish or so.

Ive heard of a t-26 and t-25, both are pretty much a tdo4-12/14 (small second gen mitsu turbos)

Its possible if he has what they call a frankenstein t-26 or tdo5/tdo6 mitsu turbo that has been massively upgraded.

If not, a stock ct wouldn't make any where near that HP. Like DrunkMedic said, an upgraded ct might make it, but would prolly snap a shaft before it ever got there.

yah my friend just talked to the guy last night and he showed my friend the turbo that put down 700hp and guess what, it was a stock ct26. the guy had pulled the head on this wonder engine of his and what do you know, BHG. so my friend is gonna buy the IC with hard pipes for $500 and a fluidyne radiator with fans for $200. i guess the guy just wants to get rid of the cars so he can work on the Hemi Cuda he has (seriously).

So, what... 700rwhp if written on a piece of paper with some marks on it could make the 7 looks like a Z - so it would look like Z00rwhp, and that looks like 200rwhp...? LoL What is wrong with that guy?

I have never heard of a CT-26 helping a motor lay down 700HP.
I have heard of people talking lots of crap though. That dude that said it would is a liar.

I think that it has been established that what the seller is talking about is crap,
so the thread's purpose is over...and this thread it going in a wrong direction (namecalling & ...intent to flame) so I shall lock it.
