T04 Turbo Advice

I was thinking about upgrading my turbo to a T04. What is a comfortable amount of boost I can push on a stock motor with an HKS 1.2mm MHG and stock injectors and IC? Anyone running a T04 on a manual turbo? Let me know. I figured as long as the head is apart Id get it done now before changing injectors and getting a bigger intercooler.:naughty:

Trents car was on stock bottom end and made over 500rwhp. How much boost is irrelevant. Theres lots of variables that play a part in this.

But since you said stock injectors, and stock intercooler. Dont even think about turning up the boost without monitoring that afr and temps. Your goin to run out of fuel before you know it and chance of it leaning out arent good. Do yourself a favor and get 550's and a bigger intercooler. im not saying it cant be done, im just saying your going to be limited.

I'm in the process of putting my to4e 57-trim on right now... and as far as your motor goes I agree with oldschool get some bigger injectors and maft or maftpro and you'll be able to pump it up more... with my setup I'll be pushin 12-14psi...

I too will be installing a TO4E..."50 trim". Plan is to run *low* boost until bigger injectors & engine management. I'd say you'll be plenty safe on stock boost levels with the TO4. Have to remember that the OEM injectors are good for ~400hp MAX.

Just waiting on the oil line kit from 935...then...

with a good tune... my goals were 450hp with my setup... daily of course... that would be 450hp reliably...

I would get a wideband before bigger injectors. If you are planning on 17-18 psi you'll find 440's will be enough, especially with a smaller turbo.

the 440's will be sufficient if he gets an amazing tune...

I was running 12 psi daily and 17 psi peak (now and then), on my T4 kit.

Stock motor, stock gasket, ARPS, no problems.

Put about 30k on it.
