Shroud is broken, didn't think it would cause such a big change in temps. Fan clutch is definately good, it was "tested" almost everyday this past summer. I'm interested in your heat wrap though of the DP. I have to take mine off soon and i was wondering how you do that and what material you use and where to get it. Did you notice any significant changes in bay temps?

Geez, getting info out of some of you guys to help solve a problem is like pulling teeth. How many times have I told you to check the fan shroud?...at least 3, maybe 4 times. This is starting to make me believe you're a waste of my time if you're going to "interpret" what I tell you to do...think I'm telling you to check something just for giggles? I mean (give me a break), I had to explain what a thermostat was and what it did. Then you start telling me the temp rating should be lower to match below normal temps in the system...now its the purpose of the fan shroud...no friggin wonder you have temp spikes when you run it hard or in stop/go traffic. This kind of thing really tests a guy's patience.

sorry man, didn't think it would effect it to the extent it did considering how easily and fast it cooled with it broken before. Either way, know of any other non-oem (i.e. not ugly) shrouds or efficient e-fans so i can put this issue to rest?

They normally get one chance from me. Sometimes I'll use the "find all posts by" function and if the guy is clearly an idiot he won't even get one. Some folks make it clear from their very first post. Spelling, maturity, language, on and on. Hell, I'll skip over posts if I don't like an avatar. Screw 'em...
