well upon working on my friends headgasket, i realizd he has a 5 speed turbo cluster, and his car is auto non turbo, and i just swapped the 5 speed turbo into mine, and the current cluster is auto na. i know the reason my tach is not working is due to the swap, so if i swap his cluster over will my tach work again, or is there different wiring invloved.

thankyou

it should work, remove the cluster, unscrew the tach and install the new one, took me 15 minutes in the dark with cars zooming by as I was parked on the side of the street..

Did you use a jdm oil pressure sensor? If yes, then yes replace the gauge and sending unit(usdm) as hopefully you just blew out the gauge.

i dont think i did, all i did was swapped engine and wiring harness, i didnt mess with the sending unit. it was weired because when i first started it up it went almost all the way up, now it just doesnt work, i have an 87 oil pressure gauge, will that work?

Is the engine a jdm engine?

The 87 will work but if you have a jdm sending unit it will fry the gauge son and you try to start the gauge.

well i swapped tach and it worked, i also swapped oil pressure gauges and it went all the way up to 120 again, so what do i need to do to fix it, and no it is not a jdm engine
