swaping tranny

It's really not that bad to pull the tranny by itself.

Not bad at all with something like a transmission jack, or just a way to secure it from rolling off said jack.

To better access the top bolts, I jacked my engine up a little at the crank pulley (READ: Extremely carefully, with something like a block of soft wood.)

Everything is gravy.

thats awesome... i was wondering because i need a car and the only supra that seems to be in good condition around here is an auto...i hate autos so i wanted to drop in maybe a R154? there stronger than w58 but the w58 shifts smoother?? ne one like to elaborate on this it would be greatly appreciated. Oh and if i spelled something wrong plz disregard real bad at spelling:biglaugh:

You hit the nail on the head with the trannys.


BTW, I can pull the whole motor out in about the same amount of time as just the tranny, plus I don't have to fight with getting the tranny back in from underneath the car.
