SupraSport poly rack & pinion bushing help...

I picked up a set of poly R&P bushings to install when swaping my rebuilt rack & pinion. They're one piece, no splices, so I'm assuming they have to be cut in order to be fitted around the R&P. Is this correct? I can see no other way to get them installed.....

I cut mine with a sharp utility knife where the stock rubber ones are split. You'll see where when you pull off the old ones.

Have a look a stock bushings and cut the poly ones the same way.

i cut mine like the oem. i think it is cut on the front side. i also had to dremmel out some material to get the metal tabs to lock back down onto the bushings. i could not even get the passenger side top mount to bolt back down without cutting material out from the inside corners of the bushing. then the mount would have a large enough slot/opening to let the metal tab slide down into.
