Hello, my name is Cesar Tapia.

The opportunity came up for me to purchase my friends 87 supra. It has a lot of things wrong with it but I have always been a fan of supras and decided to purchase it to restore it.

A few things that were wrong were, Intake manifold leaks, EGR hooked up wrong, throttle cables backwards, incorrect idle settings..etc.

I got most quirks fixed but still has a rough idle when cold. Im looking to get it fixed by the end of the week.

Here are some pictures before I started the cleanup process. I vacumed 30 years worth of dirt lol.

The Cleanup begins. I tore out the carpet in the trunk as it was really bad.
I took out all the seats, Vacummed all carpet and seats and began with stain/smell remover.

Results after the clean up. 10x better if not more. lol. Some spots look dirty but they were just wet. I was almost all the stains out including stains in the seats.
:aigo:

I also went to pepboys as it was in desparate need of car seat covers for the front as the leather was all ripped. I bought some for 13 each. Better yet they have the S on them. I'll post pics tomorrow.

Thanks,
Today I created new terminals for the water temp gauge, oil pressure gauge and created a ground cable. It had a lead at the head but no wire so I bought some wire and mounted it ot the body.

Also fixed the heater, there was a vacum line disconnected on the passenger side of the engine bay. :)

Almost done fixing the all the quirks with the engine.
