I'm with duane and a couple of the others on this thing. This is for the cream of the crop, nice completed well done engine bays. Not stock cars, not half finished cars, not cars with hacked up harnesses, wiring and vac lines run all over the place. Nicely completed highly modded engine bays is the purpose of this thread, not any engine bay that happens to be recorded by digital camera.

The way this thread is going, I should post up the bay of my wifes 90K mile 07 nissan altima. Its dirty as hell too.

seriously, omfg!

Alert! people, seriously, do not post progress pics, stock pics of engines, or half assed pics here please, it is to be elite pics, remember? If you want to show your progress, use the gallery and start a build thread, this is getting off topic.

I think we have something in the Milk these days...:3d_frown:

Re-read my post.

Gix, that bay is worthy of this thread. Duane, can we delete the posts of those who are posting the non-elite photo's that don't meet the criteria?

I am not the one to be saying what is best and what is not, but, some pics are obviously not suited for this thread. As I stated, read my post.

Thanks
Duane

Now I know theres some controversy about progress shots, so let me say that these picture was taken at a car show. I could... if i wanted to for some crazy reason... start it up and make a pass down the track.

The engine is being built for enduro racing (6, and 12 hour) http://picasaweb.google.com/raceready7m/RaceReady7M?feat=directlink and has had moderate upgrades, not the best in the business, as this engine will not see more that 7500 RPMs and HP will be limited to 300 WHP, by virtue of the 50 trim CT26 (more in my build thread "Race Ready 7M").
Extensive head porting is complete and combustion chambers coated w/ ceramic thermal barrier. Cam caps coated with molydisulfied coating, baked on. Interior of the block coated w/a oil shed coating and outside, coated w/a black thermal dispersant. Exhaust parts are coated inside and out w/a ceramic thermal barrier, to keep the heat inside, where it can do more work!
Enjoy! Van

These are some upskirt pics of my supra, I hope they're elite enough. :)
After some years of trial and error it is now fully circuit-proof. Amongst other improvements to make it circuit-proof I've installed heat plates and quite a bit of heat wrapping. Btw, it's a 1.5jz

Nice wire tuck. Where did you hide all the wires and fusebox.

I did pretty much the same thing on my drag car:

You can fit most of it behind the dash on the passenger side. :)

yup. I made my own heater box/ventilation that is a quarter the size of stock. opened a lot of room for wiring and then the fuse box just went into the fender.
