My 89 has the "White" package including white wheels and trim. In 91 Toyota went with color matched trim but some Supras still got white wheels giving them the "White" package as well.

I can't remember ever seeing a "White" package 90 though.

Factory white packages were 89+.
There were a limited number of "dealer-installed" white package setups like that pace car deal for pre-89 cars. These are not the same thing.

Ok Mr. Lange... how do we know that they are pace car editions and what make them not the same thing? If you can answer...

For 1, they are pre-89's, so that's a big thing. The trim looks odd, because only the center is white, not the entire thing, so it's like having 2 little black lines running down the car. The entire thing was done to cars after they were manufactured, meaning... the car came off the assembly line with silver wheels and grey trim, then when they got here to North America, a company changed the trim and painted the wheels, and now you have a "white package". The 89+ cars came with white trim and white wheels from the factory.

Those are the major differences.

That pace car edition in the link above is my old car. Shocking ending up with a Long Beach CA pace car up here in MN! :)

The only way you know if it is that special dealer edition is by a 1 page piece of paper with a "declaration" of it. The owner should have with the papers. No papers, no proof and anyone could have painted white on the rims and trim:)

Also this dealer package was done for 86.5 only.

It's really not that rare of a car anyway. There were quite a few different special editions for 86.5 in California.

Would anyone be able to provide some figures as to the number of white packages or editions manufacturered? I have a 91T white package and was just wondering how many of them are out there (white packages in general that is).
