Okay today we ruled out that the Denso 3-wire o2 sensor is not the problem. trydrew should be on later and will upload a video of my car and what it's doing when we try and start it. Now for a few weird things that happened. Now when i check my codes (via super monitor) instead of it saying ENG - OK, it says ENG -00 , also after it doesn't start and you leave the key in it has 00000000's all the way across the super monitor screen for about 60-90 seconds and then it goes back to the clock. Has anyone ever experienced this or possibly know what is wrong?

What I'am getting at is that my Super Monitor is acting irregular which is a problem in itself, I had codes 21, and 24 already. The engine hasn't ran since this started so their shouldn't be any new codes plus I have reset the EFI fuse a few times everyday removing and re-installing o2 sensor. The exhaust smokes when trying the engine is cranking and then it makes a weird noise which you'll hear/see when the video is uploaded. This started on thread http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34064&highlight=denso+3-wire
Today trydrew came down and brought his stock o2 sensor and we tried it and ruled out thats it is not the o2 sensor.

Some codes will throw without running the engine.

You should look into the code 24.... unless it's just the by product of running a MAFT Pro or similar.

it's only comes every once in a good while and i think it's from the connector for my AFM it's not very good. Code 24 only shows after a 3-4 good sprints to 120+mph, The code 21 just showed up but I was noticing from the super monitor, which isn't very accurate since my car is not stock but it is consistent and you can see the gas mileage because the super monitor also tells you how many gallons consumed which i compare to days before and decreased maybe 3-4mpg in same driving conditions. I don't know what happened to Drew, I hope he is alright. The video will hopefully explain better than I can.
I've never had any problems from my 7m, except replacing the ISC valve, and water pump and then recently was having an idle issue I believe from a vaccum leak I couldn't find.

Have you considered the possibility that your problem may stem from the AFM or it's, admittedly, faulty wiring?

120+? And you know there's something wrong with your car..... I'll let someone else cover that one.

Sorry about that Rob, I got caught up when I got home and just now got online.

This was the first time we tried starting it today. There was alot of smoke for some reason, but hardly any on the next tries. Ive given Rob a few of my ideas on what the problem could be and I think he's checking it out tomorrow.

Any help would be nice though.

Here's the second attempt...

Sounds like timing. check the wires and connector going to the cps. If they look good, then check the cps.
Did it just all of a sudden start this?

sounds like your timing is off, which is why it is trying to kick back. Too advanced. Did you take your CPS out? Maybe you have it in 1 tooth off.

That is a huge freaking exhaust leak you got there.

Yeah, that was one thing ive told him. His CPS wiring is not the best, so maybe the signal is not getting through? He never took it out though, nor removed his cams.

Antman: It started this after he did the Denso rewire. You could figure at the least that he jiggled some of the wires loose.

Yeah. I would lean toward bad wiring too. Check that and get back to us.

Okay I removed the ECU this morning, it appears to be fine, nothing looks fried, all the connectors look fine. How do I test the wiring for the CPS? What diagnostic tools do I need? What is the smoke from any ideas?(my car has never smoked) The smoke is coming from between the elbow and DP, also comes out the tail pipe of course. My dp just snug to the elbow from where I had the exhaust off.

Another Quick ? does anyone know the toyota part number for the CPS o-ring?

well the easiest way to check cps- pull one of the plug wires loose from the coil pack and see if you are getting spark. even being off a tooth or 180* out you will still get spark.
id really look into that afm wiring as well, or even go as far as swapping to another afm.
the smoke is kinda hard to tell where it is coming from but could be from the egr cooler.
