hi everyone,
i have a problem with my 88 7mge. i just tore down the engine last night and replaced the head gasket today. i connected everything except a blue connector on the top of the motor. i cant figure out where this goes. now the car wont even turn over. did i miss a connector or what. heres a picture of the connector that im having trouble with.

also i connected a engine ground to the intake manifold. could this be the problem because its aluminum? i didnt think that would make a difference.but maybe it did. any help or suggestions is appreciated.
thanks

The plug should go to one of the vacuum switching valves under the intake manifold. I don't believe the extra ground will hurt.
thanks. that was it, i missed the vacuum valve. and also one of the starter wires came undone.
