If the dent is shallow enough to pop out, or easy to do body work on, just wait till you paint it and fix it...

But for now, go across the street and tell them you need an address, and say if they dont cooperate, that they'll be involved with the police, as they knew the hit and runner...

They should give you any info you need :D

I just have this to say, be careful who you give address's to, this story sounded weird as soon as it was mentioned the cops wouldn't do anything cause they didnt have an address, folks go after hit and runs, this whole addy thing kinda scares me, what if someone came on here caliming your car banged into them and they need your addy, only to discover the true reason was they saw your car on the road and wanted to steal it? think about stories and possiblities before you go posting someones home addy. Now I aint saying this aint a real story I saying think about it, it reminds me of a post a while back where someone wanted pics of keys, then someone mentione they could easily make a copy of your key if you posted a pic of it.

wtf are you talking about? I dont think he ever posted any address. He is only looking for that ladies address, and if someone gets it and decides to scam the hell out of her... serves her right for being an idiot.

Here's what I would do:

Call the police, report a hit an run, go after her insurance.

Just about every time I have "cut someone a break" like this, I've gotten screwed. She's already backpedaling. Give it another few days and she'll start avoiding you. A week from now she'll tell you to fuck off.

Call the police now, report it as a hit and run.

It has been a long time but here is what happened. The lady kept trying to negotiate with me on the price so I told her she is dumb and my insurance is taking care of her.

So I finalized it with insurance and the wrote me a check for the estimate minus my $250 deductible and that was that.

I know my insurance is suing her but I don't know any further details.

I was graciously given a complete and perfect door by a local Supra owner, Ben aka Bigzavs, and that will be going on in a few months when the car is ready for paint.

Good for you, that's the only smart move to make in these situations.

As much as I hate to admit it, people no longer want to do the right thing. Most people are out to save themselves, and no longer want to accept the blame for things.

This is my end of giving people the benefit of the doubt.
