Okay, I wake up to a slashed tire on my Supra, the pink slip taken and random misc parts stolen, torn up armrest and stock stereo stolen, and mud all over the carpet.

Why is it that people decide to take the one thing that I enjoy and put all the little bits of money I get and trash it? It has to be somebody named "Josh" because that's the name they carved in the center armrest....

I'm getting fence from my grandpa and locking up my carport. This is bullshit, police report filed..

GOD THIS SUCKS!!!

Well, I don't drive it, so I don't see why my parents would do that??

The police didn't give a shit, and I doubt they actually filled one out (Over phone)

I will be looking for someone wearing the shoe brand on the shoe strings and see if I can find a Josh like that, and ask him some questions.

And I don't see why anyone would do this other than being moronic. I don't have any enemies, I'm friends with just about everyone and try to help everyone out as much as I can.

:(

Damn that sucks they took the stock radio. Its not like its really worth anything, but now you have an ugly gaping hole on the dash. How the hell did they even get it out? I thought our stereo set-up was secure. :dunno:

id call the police again and tell them to take that flash light and finger print it. did the police even come look at it? if not, id def call again and tell them they left the flashlight
The police won't do anything. They gave you a case number. Give that case number to your insurance company. Hopefully you have at least comp. $50 should get your car fixed, and everything replaced. Police don't take fingerprints for a couple reasons. 1. It costs too much. 2. They don't have time. Breaking into a car is only a gross misdemeanor. Unfortunately, if it didn't happen in the officer's presence, they won't make an arrest.
It sucks, I know. The best advice I can give is just to get a good alarm. They don't make your car vandal proof, but it will help.

Sorry to hear about that Matt. If I had an extra set of valve covers I would definately let you polish them and get you a little money to start fixing it up. If anyone has a set of 1jz valve covers, I will buy them from you.

I called the cops ASAP when my stereo was stolen. Officer came out in 10 mins and searched the car for prints. Spent about 20 mins asking me q's and getting all my info and everything. Neither he, (nor I) could find a print (my dash was all textured vinyl, so no surprise).

He said it happened to a few other cars in the area that week and if the guys were caught, every possible case would help.

Just sharing my story, i guess. I never expected to get the stereo back, but there's always a chance. Plus unreported crime no matter what it is does nobody any good.

*edit, last sentence was horribly constructed. I'll leave it though.

Well no officer ever arrived, and they laughed at me (I'm not stretching the story, or lying for that matter) the last time my parents called them (They wanted to talk to me because I'm the only one who ever goes around the damn car).

Long story short, the insurance company won't do anything, and here's why.

We recently switched insurance companies, and with our last insurance co, we had ALL 4 of our cars on one policy, with all our names on it. When we switched companies, apparently they dropped the Supra due to the fact insurance wasn't going to be lowered on it.. WITHOUT contacting us!

So we talked to the lady who was reviewing our policy number, and said our claim was going to have to go to court before they could do anything about the Supra.. SO WE WERE PISSED!! We talked to someone else (Manager I believe??) And he said it will be all straightened out ONCE we make the first payment on the Supra..

SO!! We have been driving the Supra without insurance without knowing it, and when we paid taxes for the Supra the DMV forgot to give us new tags!

GOD THIS IS A HEADACHE!

Now we have to apply for a new pink slip for the Supra, get tags, fix the tire, and put all the engine parts back on it BEFORE WE CAN EVEN LEGALLY LEAVE THE HOUSE IN IT!!! On top of my mom having probation for 5 years, my brother moving out, and me running back and fourth watching over my grandpa because my grandma recently passed away.

I can tell Christmas is going down the drain..

Could life be more stressful?

Better to find out this insurance fiasco through a petty break in where some stuff got busted up, rather than an accident where someone got hurt or worse. Good luck ST.

I wish you the best man, sounds like things are pretty rough :(

Dude... who keeps their pink slip in the car? That one is your fault IMO... theft sucks but don't keep things in your car that are that important.
