Battery was out because a friend needed to borrow it.

Update!!

Insurance said the car was a total right off (of course) and that there is no possibility of buying it back because of "environmental issues" They came and took the car today so when I got home from work it was gone.

I guess that is the end of it for now. Now to try and fight with ICBC about the value of the car.

FML

that really sucks :( im sure there was many parts you could have pulled off of it...i bet you were wishing u did when u had the chance?
you better throw a good fight about the value of the car.

Holy crap ! So sorry for your loss man. If it were me, I would find the person that did this...tie them up in their car, and wave a can of gasoline in 1 hand and a match in the other. I would literally stand their threatening with those items until they were begging for their life. Then after I felt better about seeing the pathetic individual squirm, I would turn him over to the authorites. I'm not a violent person, but I would want this asshole to understand that you just don't do that shit and get away with it...and while he is rotting away in jail, he will be reminded of that every day. I was planning on having a pager style alarm installed in my car...only now it has top priority. Hopefully I can get one with perimeter intrusion alert. A friend of mine has one from Viper, and I like how if you step up next to the car, the alarm is triggered and the pager will alert him.
