so my supra ended up off the road about 10 feet and down about 4 feet through some pretty dense trees and high sided on a boulder. how this happened you may ask? some friends should not touch a rwd car on dirt. however the question i really have is that i want to fix it, the frame seems to be slightly bent up at the very front where the tow hooks are on the passenger side. a rock pushed it up about 3/4 of an inch. also i have a fairly dented oil pan and a broken tie rod end. those two im not so concerned about as i know i can fix that but as for the frame does anyone have any suggestions? would a body shop be able to possibly straighten it out? i will try to get some pics up tomorrow. i really love this car and i would love for it to look like new again. im pretty poor so i doubt i can afford to scrap it. i might just have to drive it all jacked up. also does anyone know if i can drop the front cross member to get to the oil pan or will i have to pull the engine to replace it? thanks for any input.

ouch man, ouch. bent frame= car will never be the same. unibody design isnt very forgiving to bends.

It's possible to straighten it back out if it isn't completely fcked in the first place. But if you arn't doing it yourself or having someone at a body shop know fix it for you...then I am pretty sure it'd be real expensive.

Might just be cheaper to part the car and buy a new one.

I agree with the above posts. Frame straightening requires a special jig, and we all know that special tools = expensive.

I have a 1966 avanti that we had to get the fame straightened/sectioned, and it was an expensive proposition. After the initial quote, and the fact that everything (and I do mean everything) had to be off the car, we decided to use a newer model monte carlo frame under it instead.

I vote find yourself a shell somewhere and build two out of one. That's your best bet.

Good luck and hope it turns out well for ya.

yea thanks for the input guys. i dont want to condemn the car because the bend is in a more or less harmless spot, it is right up front near the rad support and the bumper mount. other than raising the front bumper up about 1/2 an inch it doesn't have a huge impact on the cars dynamics.
