Supra Seats Suck

And that's not even counting the weight of these boat anchors!

They are just F'n uncomfortable. I had them completly redone, figuring that would help, but they still suck. I keep adjusting the height and the incline and the lumbar...but I cannot get comfortable in them.

I'm normal size (6'1" or so, 200lbs) and not anatomically odd, so I don't think it's me being a freak or anything like that. I am starting to think they're just shitty uncomfortable seats.

They look pretty good as far as factory seats go, no complaint asthetically, but they are just not comfortable to me.

I don't think I've ever heard any of you guys complain about them not being comfortable, so maybe it's just me.

I wish I would have figured this out before I had them redone, 'cause I'm getting rid of 'em as soon as I find something I like (don't want to piss money away on the same thing 3 times).:nono:

Yeah, you're a rare one, countless threads have discussed the high comfort level of the MKIII seats. If you want uncomfortable seats try the MKIV seats for more than around town cruising.

Wow that's the first time I've ever heard that. The MK3 seats are the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in. Even more comfortable than my 05 GTO seats.

i totally agree. i drove from seattle to portland and back only stopping in portland for an hour. my back was never sore the entire time or anything

They are definately the most comfortable seats I have sat in as well....makes you almost fall asleep while driving cuz its so comfy. :dunno:

i have an mk3 seat that i watch tv in, they are very comfy to me and anybody thats sat in my car.

and im a pretty big dude.

I even had a MKIII seat to play Grand Turismo. If you cannot find a comfortable position on a MKIII seat then, there's something definitely wrong with you...

I'm the same height and sometime's I find myself playing with it to get comfortable again after long trips.
This happens to me in almost any car though. I've got lower back problems and anything gets painful after I've been stationary for too long.

while i like the electric adjustment, it pisses me off when someone else drives it and screws with my seat position. then its at least 10 mins sitting in the garage readjusting and hoping i can get it where it used to be.

i dunno, ive sat in a lot of supra seats and some just arent near as comfortable as others. i thought maybe it was due to age and the foam had just hardened or something. uncomfortable? nah, they were ok. just not as cushy as ones that are in good shape.

im sure there are plenty of people that have seats in poor cosmetic condition that would be happy to buy yours!

Someone told me a few months ago that in the old days people had to lock them down or they would get stolen to be put into celicas and whatnot. Don't know the truth behind that but I believed it.

I can't get over how much I love my Supra's seats. I think a pair is going into the next DD I get. (My old Saturn's seats sucked ass!)

The only better seat that I have sat in is a NSX. Those things have the best seats (that I have sat in so far) in the world imo.
