got the trunk sound proofing and all the rear interior in, looks pretty good the gray on the side panel inserts are going to be redone in black vinyl, i think it will look sick. let me know what y'all think.
got the 89+ front end with turbo a-duct installed, pure sex i should say. let me know what y'all think, this is pretty much the end of the work until i get back from my deployment and get it up and running, wish me luck hope everything works out so when i get back there will be one more sick mk3 in mid GA.
redid the door panel inserts and rear panel inserts in black vinyl, think it looks way better than the gray, especially since my shift boot, ebrake boot and console lid are gonna be black leather. let me know what y'all think, first time i have ever done ne type of upholstery.
well headed overseas, supra has been put into storage for the next 6 months, hopefully nothing will break while im gone, will be ordering all the rest of the parts for the build while im over there so once i get back i can swap the engine and transmission in right away and get the car back on the road. wish me luck over there guys.

be cheaper to do it myself but frankly i have no clue what i am doing when it comes to the swap, i will probably still have the shop do it just so i have the warrenty for their labor and everything, maybe if i can find another mk3 project ill do the engine work myself on that one, but with this one being my baby ill prob just have the shop do it for ease of mind you know? thanks alot bro i cant wait to get it on the road and meet up with the other mk3s around ga. it will be sick once it is done.
havent updated in awhile, and this one has no pics for right now, but so far i have ordered everything except the new targa seals and hatch seal, the sway bars, the sound system, and possibly an aftermarket clutch( not sure bout getting one since my stock one is brand new), and then just a few odds and ends here or there, things are going pretty chill overseas, and i still got 3 months to go, so hopefully when i get back nothing will be wrong with the car and i can get right to work on everything, i found out im gonna have to get the head rebuilt but my shop tells me that they can do everything, pull, swap, suspension, brakes, alignment, oil, fluids, belts, hoses, for a ball park of 4500, and that without military discount and he told me that was high just to give me a buffer, im hoping it will be more around 3000 to 3500... so that will be awesome, if i could do everything myself in the timeline i want it done i would but i dont have as much knowledge about engines as a lot of people on here so i dont want to risk messing the car up.
well time for an update with photos, got back from deployment about a week and a half ago, went up to Ky and picked up the wrecked supra and have starting moving the parts over to the new one, the first two days have been spent adding the brake system, zinc coated cross drilled and slotted rotors, new pads, and the calipers were supposed to be painted but the guy in the shop doesnt allow spray paint so that will come later...
then came the front and rear suspension techniques anti sway bars, they took a little to get the old ones off but it all worked out in the end...
last night was spent swapping over the tokico struts and intrax springs from the rear, wasnt able to get photos but will accomplish that today which will be spent swapping over the front suspension and the rest of the interior and some electronics and what all i can get done in 5 hours, then hopefully on sunday natedogr is gonna come and help me pull the engine, transmission, driveshaft, and gas tank. hopefully things go as planned, let me know what yall think so far.

thanks i finally finished swapping the struts and springs over today, will have photos up tomorrow hopefully after i finish the interior parts and the small exterior stuff.
got the spring and struts swapped over this past saturday, me and natedogr are going to start the pull teardown and rebuild tomorrow, and if everything goes as planned we might have it up and running before the 20th.... maybe, we will see how things go, i will try and post as many photos as i can of the swap and everything but for now here are some of how its site now with the suspension and everything.
well time for an update, im home for the holidays but before i came down me and nate pulled the engine from the old car and got it mounted on the stand, so once i get back to the base we will be able to start the tear down and rebuild right away. ive got some photos from the pull, yall let me know what you think.
adding some photos of the new painted valve covers, will try and add some new photos of the engine tear down as me and nate get more done, sorry i havent updated more as we have been going. hoping that we can get this done before the end of january will update more as it get there, thanks for following the build guys.
here are some photos of the sub woofer box i built while i was home on leave, i got the idea from gurley0916 when i saw the box he had in his for sale thread awhile back. its not the most amazing box but i think i did pretty good, let me know what yall think, it still allows me to use the targa mounts too which is really what i like. im also gonna be opening up a for sale thread soon with some parts that im not longer using or that i took off the old car. keep an eye out for it, hopefully it will be up this weekend.
well went in today and did some more tear down of the engine, hopefully me and nate will be able to get the head and stuff off tomorrow, we will see what happens here are a few pics of the engine as it sits now.
