So I finally got tired of waiting on my parents to buy me a new car and instead got my Supra towed to my job and my boss and I took car of a few things to get it running. It originally went in to get the brakes serviced, and the mechanic wanted some god awful amount of money to fix it. So, we put a new master brake cylinder on, which the mechanic said was bad and we suspected was the culprit, new discs up front and resurfaced in the rear, new pads all around, bled the system with completely new brake fluid and now it's sensitive again and actually works!

Now on to the problems I still have. Now, the only thing I really got of a stupid $78 diagnostic fee was that the mechanic somehow found a bunch of sensors unplugged, don't ask I have no idea, and plugged them in so it runs a lot better than when I put it in. It has been sitting dead still for almost 10 months now. I got a new battery in it and found out that my speedometer cable is now completely broken. It is putting out error codes 41, 42, and 51. I think 42 is explained by the lack of working speedo. I think I have a faulty TPS.

Now to where I have a question. It seems to idle perfectly at 750 when it starts. When it does start though its rough, but after 30-45 seconds it levels out. After I actually drive it for more than a few minutes it begins to idle all over the place from 1100 to 400. Also, as you slowly increase the rpms it runs smooth then at about 2800-3300 it beings to start misfiring or something like that, basically just shakes a lot and doesn't run well at all, and once you come off the gas it kinda just falls and idles where ever it pleases. If you keep increasing rpms then it will eventually even back out again around 4000.

If I am driving in gear it is very slow under 3700-4000ish range, but maybe it could be because I've been driving a 06 Ram w/ HEMI for 10 months and that thing has more than enough power across the band, but once I get to that range it takes off and I can feel power up to the redline. What could be causing this? A faulty TPS or something more in-depth.

Also, any information on where to cheaply obtain parts, since my list of places was lost with my last laptop, would be greatly appreciated! I need to buy a new steering rack or at least a boot. Is there a way to know if the control arms are good or not? Also I attached a picture from the invoice with the list of things broken. The oil leak is in the read right below valve gaskets, have no idea what it could be, but I've just been checking the oil level. Thanks in advance for any advice yall can give.

I just finished going through all of this that you are describing to some extent this may aid you.
And then again it may not.

But codes 41 and 42 are afm codes so replace that and get a new dry flow filter. That solves that and keeps it from coming back. O'rielly's reman. $175.00 The el cheapo dry flow filter they stock is 10$ It'll work for 90 days if you don't have blow by.

The 51 can be a few things for me. It's the dashpot not compressing fully in the TPS.
Or...., I'm confident that's the issue. It's one of those things that stops working on 15 year old cars when you take 2 full summers to rebuild and then start driving.

I'm pretty sure it's the TPS b/c if I push on the side of it I can hear the engine run better fix it's idle if it's not idling correctly. Doesn't the Super Monitor run off of the Vehicle speed sensor? Because it says I'm getting a grand 0 mpg, 0 miles traveled, and I've still got 10,000 miles to my next oil change. I haven't been rebuilding, I've just had it sitting in out in a basically a junkyard for 10 months.

So now i am also pulling code 43, and the car is acting completely weird. First off sometimes it's perfectly fine, then it ranges from acting like I'm out of gas to running really rich with good performance. Sometimes when I come off the gas it just flat out dies, other times it gently falls to about 1000 rpm. The engine is just all over the place performance wise. It seems that it's perfectly fine in the higher rpms, like no problems what so ever (well shitty gas mileage). Anyone have any ideas at all?
