i wonder what the driver of that mustang was thinking as that supra pulled on him while hitting fuel cut a few times

fox body mustang owners are real cocky imo at least the ones ive met.

I see it on the driver's side... Seems to be something on the passenger side though (maybe something to do with an external fuel pump and a sump?)

Not to defend the Mustang driver, but he did always give that MKIII the move. He would wait until the other guy spooled up. In the second race he even motioned him to go, then tried to take off once he heard him spooling up.

I'm sure that MKIII would have ran him down on the big end, but he would have been playing some catch up if the Stang drive took off immediately instead of waiting. I'd like to see the same race only with the Stang taking off right after the third honk, and not giving any kind of courtesy of waiting for the MKIII to spool up.

Deffinatly sounds mean, just too bad for the fuel cut. Lost ground each time it bounced off. :(

He really didn't slow down much when he hit fuel cut. The second race show he lost ground pretty good when he upshifted. Then he bounce off fuel cut from then on. Either way I'd like to see a race between them hitting it at the same time. No courtesy waiting.

Each time he hit fuel cut a little ground was lost.. if he eliminated the problem it would deff help out.

+1 on the no courtesy waiting

Just watched the vids again and it looks like the guy in the Mustang was letting off both times. I have 3 friends with turbo foxes, and they all kill my car! Actually I bought my drag wheels and tires from one of them. With 8psi with a 70mm on a freshly rebuilt 302 my friend made, 478rwhp and 509rwtwq. Video to me doesn't look like an honest race.

with no fuel-cut and without courtesy waiting im pretty sure after the supra gets to 4th gear the fox would be losing no matter what! the fox simply didnt compare to the top end power of the supra....and that supra btw, was bad 2 the bone, too bad for fuel-cut though!
