supra from soarer 1j?

is there any sure way to tell a supra 1jz from a soarer 1jz? I talked to the guy from driftmotion, he said that my motor is most likely a soarer, because it does not have the hydro fan. here is a picture of my motor:

also, could it already have the 2j water pump installed??

You can tell by the motor mounts aswell.

joe nailed it, supra never came with a fan clutch always the hydrofan

so the one in the pic is a soarer motor

other than the wiring and the motor mounts are the soarer motors any different than the supra?

i guess if you find a connector for the hydra. fan ECU near the engine ECU. it would be a supra 1jz, but if not then its a soarer.

nope, they came with the R154 also, but its not exactly an easy to find motorset

I baught and recieved this motor from you, I asked time and time again if the engine was from a supra, you repetedly said yes. I am on several forum sites and I have talked to a representative from a company that is very skilled and specializes in 1jz swaps into supras and 1jz identifications. They all told me that this motor is from a soarer. I however am not satisfied with their answers, but I am just informing you that if it is confirmed that the motor is from a soarer, I will be contacting you about a trade off.

talk to Andrew(AF1JZ) he used a soarer motor and wiring harness, he can probably help you with whatever you need
