I get depressed when I spend so much time and money to fix the Supra, and it doesn't ever ever ever ever work right. For example: I spent 3 days putting my motor back together and putting it in the car, and when I finally it get it running, something is wrong. I believe the something is wrong with the #1 pistion. Sweet..

I ghavent driven mine for almost a year. doesn't bother me as i know once it's done its rebuild it will be a million times better then it was before. then next year is paint and body and im done with the car and can finally enjoy it everyday without having to work on it.

If you make it feels better, i've been deployed for a while now and I'm half way around the world. So, I don't even get to wrench on it or even see it :(

My car has been down for a month only. Done a full rebuild and all the fuel, intake, exhaust upgrades. I will get the car started in 1-2 weeks time and drive it.

And while I drive it, I will make the mkiv manifold fit on my old head and get a new intercooler and all the piping. When it is ready to be installed it might take a weekend to put this in.

Drive it again and get a turbo with all the fittings...When it is ready to be installed, take another weekend to put it all in

Doing it this way I do not wait for my car for a long time and get depressed. I get to continually drive and upgrade my parts.

I think doing any project over a lenghty period of time would depress you.

Its the same with long term goals. Its hard to keep on track with your long term goals..That is why you have to have short term goals that you can achieve and enjoy the sucess..This will give you confidence along the way and keep you on track for your long term goal.

Cheers,
Roy

jeez, you're forgetting how much money the typical mk4 owner has versus you, so stop being so emo. And tte has it nailed on the head, i do the exact same thing as he does, except now that im working again, my schedule gets in my way but my daily driver keeps me company for the time being.

how funny, i'm kinda getting there. today all i wanted to do was change out the waterpump on my 2jz and i coud not get that damn crankshaft bolt off. i guess the electric impact wrench i have just isn't strong enough. i haven't drove my supra since december.
