is this guy serious?

i cant tell if he's serious... someone tell me if he's being serious.

I was under the impression that our cars dont create boost unless the cars under load.

I know i can rev my car all id like while parked, and ill never create boost.

How am i wrong?

my hks opens while revving, due to the change in vacuum across the diaphram i would think... it doesn't make alot of noise obviously, as there isn't alot of air coming out if its not under boost...

You mean rev and make the bov work? I can do it. The turbo spools up with the engine revolutions thus creating boost while your driving or reving. The exhaust flows reguardless of weather your moving or not.

If your bov does not work while reving I would think something is not right. Something like boost leak from loose ic pipes or no vacume to the bov port.

All depends on what style Blow off valve you're running and how heavy of a spring it has.

With my HKS SSQV, I couldn't get it to vent while revving,
However, with my TiAL, revving it hard and blipping the throttle quickly at high rpms, it blows off everytime.

me and my bro took it for a drive and we still couldn't hear it. is there someting else i'm missing?

So you just took off the adaptor and didnt install any fins back into the bov?
On my friends scion Turbo we did the same but did not install any fins on, its just a straight flow design for the recirculation type if I remember.. You will really hear Nothing period. You will have to buy a fin and install it in to hear that blow off valve pitch sound.
