Oh jeez....I think maybe the wiring just wore me out too much to think of that. :) I guess the days in a month might be important to someone using the calendar, duh. Thanks Girl! Hey, when I ran the diag mode for the first time, the C/C (cruise control?) displays a "-". Is that okay? Also, at the end of the cycle, there's an abbreviation of ESC with code of "00" ... any idea what that is??

It will still display the specified year i.e 03 but the dating with correct days will be right. Unless someone can rechip the dating in them we will never be able to fix it.

Reason for specifying the years above is so that say the 9th is a saturday this year. If you have the wrong year it will instead be 9th on a wednesday. It's just pedantism haha

It seems you need to do some button pushing before you can do cc diagnostics http://cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=BE&P=62
That is of course if you even have it haha.

To do esc you need to make sure o/d is on for auto diagnostics (If you are auto)

00 means open circuit in diagnostics.
My cc displays - as well as i don't have it connected, I removed it when changing my wheel and indicator stalk and it was in the cbf (can't be f****) basket haha

So as some of you already know i've hardwired and modded a supermonitor to fit my car. I had a couple of questions :)

1. The engine oil function. What starts this counting down/measuring? Do i have to push a button to start it?

2. My economy reads completely messed up, instead of being a bit out it actually tries to tell me i get like 3mpg LOL.
Is this suggesting my 02 is not happy?

Whos got a Supermonitor for Dummies book? Haha

It's in the owners manual. And if you start w/ 1986 for 2008, the day/date is correct.

^ Um, are you serious?

I'll just pop down to my local JAPANESE toyota and pick up a supermonitor manual. Oh wait, better yet, you find me one in the JDM area.

Try researching a little before you post clever answers like that in future please.

It is in the owner's manual and there is a copy with that info (Pre89 North American) floating around on the net. There are links to it on here as well.... try searching handbook. Might have been mirrored over at that turboninja's site.

EDIT: I just realized this thread had been collecting dust until r45marsh bumped it. I did a quick search over my bookmarks, but I don't have any saved for the SM (generally I don't find it interesting). I'll look around once more tonight and see if I can find anything, if for nothing else than to finalize the info in this thread for others.

And as for day date features, if you had searched you will have found my thread regarding correct days & dates to use so the supermonitor will read correctly.

I don't suppose you've found me a manual for my rhd supermonitor supra yet?

Just wanting to give a little information about the SuperMonitor.

I did see your information on using different years and found them to be incorrect. i.e. 2003 can't possible match 2008 (a leap year), it won't match after Feb 28.

If you'd like a scan of my owners manual on the subject, please PM me. I don't often wander around in the different forums. But I'm very agreeable to offering other Superites information I've collected over the years.
