sunshades/heatshields/windshield cover thing

i dont know what they are actually called. i have seen a few people with pictures of their cars with the sunshades in them. the things that go in your windshield to keep the car cooler. i was just wondering where you get yours from. i have one in mine but it does not fit properly. i have seen a few that seem to fit really well (the ones that say "supra" on them) and some others that are just plain silver. i know that a bunch of places sell generic ones but i was wondering if yours are custom fit for our cars or what. i tried searching but without knowing what exactly to call them it is hard to find helpful results. thanks

I haven't seen any custom ones myself. It took me a minute to realise what you were talking about, for anyone that may have a custom one and not realise what he's talking about or for those without, it's the relfector you put on your dash to keep the interior cooler and save it from sun fading and other ill effects.

I would say to get a generic one, but a custom one is a nice idea always, hopefully you get some results with this thread and get smoe ideas. Of course you can end up just modifying one to say supra on it or making your own, thought I don't know how well to make one.

thanks for the replies. and yeh i have one from autozone that said was supposed to fit my car but it doesnt fit right. but if anyone else has any ideas that would be good, if not i guess mine will have to do.

Same with me, The Autozone sqaure ones doesn't fit, and the "circle" type ( the one with two seperate round peice's) don't last.
Where do you get a "Supra" one?

Custom shade how too.

1. Buy a high quality shade. Not the dollar store ones that bend and sag.
2. Buy a pair of Scissors.
3. Lay shade on outside window and trim to fit.
4. Park in the shade.
