Suddenly No Fog Lights or Interior Lights

Hello. I'm a new member with an old (87) MKIII turbo. Has anyone experienced losing both fog lights and interior lights? I've tried reading the wiring diagrams in the Wiring Manual but, well, line diagrams are not my friend. The Repair Manual tells me there's a Fog Light Relay (pg BE-21) , but then refers me back to the Tailight Control Relay. Hmmm.

And all my fuses are good.

I'm ready to try the fog light rewire I saw elsewhere, but I'd like to resolve the original problem first. And, it would be nice to have interior lights again.

Any suggestions regarding what fog lights and inside lights may have in common would be more than welcome.

does ur dome lights work?or is it juust ur fogs and dash? .. if so.. there is already a thread about this

My fault; I should have been more specific. The dome light, and the fog lights don't work. And both stopped working at the same time. I thought perhaps both shared a common fuse or connector, but from what I've been able to decipher from the wiring diagram they do not.

yeah.. seems as if ur having 2 problems.. not one.. lol.. try splicing the wires fromn the foglight switch to see if the switch is bad..

if you take the dome light cover off. it just pops off. there are a two screws with ground straps on them. my dome lite on my new car didn't work because the screws had a bad ground. could be your problem. obviously check the bulbs while you in there.
