sudden loss of turbo pressure!?

yesterday i went for a test drive after fixing a problem with the drive shaft and my car seems to lack all turbo pressure it builds only to 0 it still has a vacuum but just cant get above the 0 on the gauge and is deffinently not working any suggestions

Huge boost leak?

Is the car loading up or spitting?

Boost leak, bad guage, or the turbo is toast. Check for shaft play.

Also check the engine codes.

ok where could the boost be leaking from? i dont think its loading up or spitting it makes a bad ticking noise when im over 3000rpms and im checking the shaft play now, thanks for your responses though

Perhaps a very bad exhaust leak. Do you smell exhaust?

vaccume line could have come off, thats what happened to me

check the turbo outlet pipe for cracks/leaks/blown off. thats ususally what happens to mine....

In my experience, if you have a pre-turbo exhaust leak, it will be LOUD, like it sounds like the car is screaming when you go into boost....

Listen for any whistles, and if its before your diverter valve you can hear the pressure release somewhere in the tract where its probably leaking. Check lower IC piping and all vacuum lines. And the rest of the piping for that matter.

i took my turbo off today after noticing some bad shaft play and the blades were scraping the edges of the bore a little on the intake side luckily i have another turbo but is that small amount of resistance enough to not let me have any boost at all?
