subframe connectors

i would think if your in a targa and the roof is off often then they would help alot especialy with other support bars but i agree these cars do seem to be pretty stiff for their cadilac size.

yes my car is a targa, so i got the wet noodle when the top is off. i had them on my t-top f body and they worked damn good. so ill have to fab my own set.

F-body doesn't have two heavily boxed frame pieces as part of it's unibody construction. The subframes are supposed to be retorqued at regulare maintenance intervals (and are never done), also, the doors are stress members in a targa car, so if the hinges are shot they're not doing their job.

There's many high powered targa supras running around without them. Supras aren't made terrible like f-bodies and mustangs (hell, the convertable mustangs came with subframe connectors from the factory as the chassis was so poorly made).

They literally connect the front and rear subframes together. We have two very large boxed pieces under the car that already do that, unlike other cars that only have the pinch rails on the sides.

the floor of the mk3 is rather stroung


and the sub frames are well made


plus i made a set and well it did nothing

if you want it stiffer put roll bar in or cage that will do some thing

that or rear cross brace were the rear seat's are or beef harness bar
