This ad said on their site that its custom made.
That it "fits 1986-1992 mkIII supra"

So what Im wondering is what does "fit" mean?
Fits inside the car? Under the car?
I now know it neither fits in the ashtray or in the old rads place...

Wish I had read the mishimoto rad buy before I bought this ebay crap!
Stock shroud, ...maybe It can be made to fit.

But in order to center the fan in the shroud the rad has to sit on the lower stock rubber.

Now for the big surprise, I can NOT close the fucking hood... but it should fit my car according to the item description...

Plz look at the pictures and try not to laugh too hard.

Can I take any action against the seller? Sending the crap back is too expensive. Once again it doesnt "fit".

Sure rewelding brackets and going E-fans is possible but that was not my intention. I emailed the pics to the seller so he gets a chance to reply before I give his name up.

Make a good faith effort to resolve it with the seller first. If he/she isn't willing to work with you on it, whether through a refund or whatever, then you need to report him to Ebay and/or Paypal (if you paid through Paypal) as being dishonest and misrepresenting his product and refusing to make it right.

GL in any case.

^^^Yup. First try to deal with the seller. If he won't help open a dispute in ebay and go from there.

Mishi rads don't have direct fittment. The shroud doesn't fit right. If you want to use the rad you have to go e-fan, beat the hell out of the lower frame rail, and fabricate your own top mounts. After that it fits fine. I have one from the group buy and I was dissapointed that I had to go e-fan. I have been saving up for a KOYO or similar so I can go back to the factory fan.

saw that before with a local supra owner, he had an aftermarket hood and the vents on it hit the radiator cap. He cut a hole and it fit perfectly.

Same with my brother in law's accord, he had to cut part of the hood to get it to shut properly, guess it comes with the territory.

That sucks man. ms07s Why would you go back to stock fans????

Because I have a new fan clutch, shroud, and accessory fans sitting in my closet that I had just installed for the stocker before I bought the Mishi. Bought the mishi with the understanding all would fit like factory... it did not.

Yeah the guy who I bought my car off of. Put in a "GODSPEED" Ebay radiator. It works fine. But From what I can see from the guy getting it to fit... There's no shroud at all.... he used aluminum wire ran fron the top of the rad to the rad support to tie the top up....looks like he bent the lower frame mounts down to get it to fit under the hood.... and he had to put on an electric fan. Which the fan was an Ebay special and it doesn't fit the rad. It's outer frame is 1/2 to big to fit like it's susposed to. So Yeah.... Ebay... You gotta research what you buy.
I don't like the way it looks or fits:3d_frown:. But it works until I can get new stuff.. or get a JDM front clip:love:
Oh.. and make sure you read thru the sellers add carefully when you buy stuff. Even though a search brings it up for a certain car... The seller will list it's description as a universal fitting product.

This is why I went Koyo... and you have to cut the lower rubber mounts shorter with the koyo and fab brackets to hold the shroud and aux. fans on...

I spy a zaku II

So even the Koyo requires a little work.

wow thats crazy! will your hood close if you take out the bottom rubber insets? i had to get some rubber machined for new lower mounting bushings so my godspeed radiator would fit. its a bit taller, but thats crazy man! post a couple more pictures of how its sitting in there if you dont mind..

good luck.

I called it an ebay rad because it was bought there and Im emailing the seller and will not yet give out the company name.

My intention was keeping the stock fan setup and my ac fans as my ac is working great. The stock clutch fan does its job and I bet you will have a lower failiure rate on the clutchfan then when you start fiddling with e-fans...

Yes I can close the hood without the lower rubber, but then I can throw away the stock fan setup as it will not fit whatsoever.

The rubber is there for a reason, I will not accept that the rad has to sit straight on the steel brackets!

I cant understand how the f*!#@ you start producing parts without having the proper R&D... making a bolton rad that has all the mounts in the right place isnt that hard and then make a weld jigg so that everything gets positioned right before you start welding shit together.

And even if the rad sits directly on the lower brackets the upper mounting tabs is positioned 13mm to high and angled upwards.

If an item is advertised to fit, it should. If it dont, you can not say it does.
You can make anything fit, with enough modifications.

Did I mention that the bolt holes in the upper mounting tabs didnt line up to the body holes. Upper shroud mounting points is also off, see pic.

All cars have different variables as to fitment. That is why body kits rarely ever fit 100% even if they're made for the specific car. Professional body work is always needed.

Same with performance parts, there are always changes made by the car manufacturer, so even though it's the same model, not all parts fit perfectly.

how much did you pay, anyway?

I agree with that. Ebay does not make radiators. Junk radiators can be purchased in many places besides ebay. Every name brand radiator can be purchased on ebay too. I never understand the "ebay" crap statements. That radiator would not fit no matter where you purchased it. If purchased from Jegs, would it be "Jegs Crap" ?

Give the seller, as with any real company, a day or two to respond. If nothing, then file a paypal claim. Don't bother with a ebay claim. They are worthless.
