Platform is 2JZGTE with HKS 264s. Will be running HKS rail with 720cc injectors. Not looking to push past 18 psi on 93. I think both will flow in the low 500's.

Precision GT4088 .81 a/r- $850 shipped
ITS T67 P-Trim .68 a/r - $755 shipped

i would say it'd depend on wat ur purpose is...
for a drag car i'd say gt4088, for a more streetable car i would say t67, but then i might be wrong...lol

I run the Precision GT4088 .81 on my bone stock 1JZ with just fuel. I'm hitting positive boost around 3200, and full boost by 4200. Very responsive turbo on the street.

People are hitting 10's with this turbo on 2JZGTE's with just fuel and no other internal mods on supra forums.

The ITS will probably only get you in the mid 11s. My buddy with a MKIV with AEM, HKS cams, 1.x 60fts, blah blah with an ITS GT66 couldn't go any faster then 11.2. It just doesn't do the job.

Ric,

Isnt the T67 a larger turbo than the GT4088. You have a 65mm inducer vs the 67mm of the ITS. Are you suggesting that the difference in a/r is the restriction? No debating here, just trying to clarify.

Yes. A/R plays a big role. .81 is the bare minimum i'd go on a JZ motor. .6x is for very small displacement motors, or if you wan't instant spool with not alot of top end power.

people with 67s are low 10s.. its all in the setup.. drag times are hard to compare.. MPH is more of a power indication.

67 ftw :) gt4088 is a good choice, but I think lag would be a little more (larger exhuast wheel & a/r), might make more power (a more free flowing exhaust side), but you're not looking to huge power anways (yet, haha ;) )

get the GT - its the replacement for the outdated T series.

Precision, turbonetics, its, etc are all the same with internals on T series turbos - the only difference is the casting and possibly mix/match of compressors vs. turbines.

A GT series wheel will always be more efficient than a T series wheel. Thats what they were designed to do - replace the T series.

I am going with a 63mm. Going larger will require a standalone due to the injector size. Cost break for the horsepower is not worth it. I think I can kiss 490 to 500 on a 63mm on 550's. I will probably add meth up top so I can pull a little fuel.

It's alot cooler lifting the hood and saying it's a GT40 :)

Don't touch the GT4088R.... it's trash. The GT35R out performs it.

I run the 65mm GT40-88 with 550's on my 1JZ. I'm dyno tuning on pump gas in about 2 weeks. I expect to see the closer side of 500whp, maxing out the fuel..

Yeah, I bought the 67 last night. BTW, I will be in the office later today. I am waiting on a A/C tech at my house :(
